ExperienceStruggling with chemistry? Here's How I Can Help
►Personalized tutoring to attack your struggles. Then I work with you to fix your specific struggle areas, with ultimate goal of improve your grades.
►Customized explanations to fit your learning style. I explains concepts in multiple ways to figure out your learning style, then I gear all my future explanations to fit your specific learning style.
►Learn how to study smart. I will teach you a study system that allows you to get better grades while studying less. I used the same system to get a 3.93 GPA at UC Berkeley while only studying for 2 hours a day
►Step by step homework assistance. In addition, I'll teach you how to systematically solve problems that seem difficult at first.
►Confidence to do well in chemistry. You'll walk into exams with complete confidence because you understand the material so well.
There Are Other Tutors Out There. Why Should You Hire Me?
What separates me from other chemistry tutors is that I don't focus solely on comprehension of the class material. Acing the class involves more than just understanding the material. Sure comprehension is important, but if you can't apply the material, then your grade will suffer. If you can't deconstruct a problem, and figure out which concept to use, your grade will plummet. If you can't select the right answer among answers that all sound somewhat correct, your grade will drop. Etc. I help you improve on all these areas so that when the exam comes around, you'll be ready to rock it.
Secondly, I won't just teach you chemistry. I will also teach you a study system that maximizes your efficiency so you finish your homework faster. Using this system, you'll be able study less while still get good grades. Personally I used this study system at UC Berkeley and it allowed me to get a 3.93 GPA while only studying for two hours a day. This system is extremely easy to implement and it will help you get higher grades in high school and in college. Most tutors don't even teach you basic study skills.

Mike is the best. He took my grandaughter from an F grade to an A. Her self esteem and knowledge just skyrocketed under Mike tutoring. He is the best. We felt like he was a member of our family. Thank you Mike for all you have done for our grandaughter. It was a pleasure meeting you. Connie Glas
Michael is a very good teacher , my son loves him , he has a perfect way to teach and he's very accurate with time. Very fast response when needed
Michael is very personable and knowledgeable, he is a very good tutor, but also a fabulous teacher with his ability to breakdown the subject material in a comprehensive manner for my 16 year old daughter. Would not hesitate to recommend him.
In high school I was in remedial chemistry and in my first bachelor's degree I dropped out of chemistry TWICE. Chemistry, for some reason, just simply does not click with me. I ended up having to take Chemistry again and that is when I discovered Michael. He is better than college tenured professors! He explains it in terms that makes sense and he really knows his stuff. He definitely has the patience and never makes you feel like you have a dumb question. I have never had to do tutoring before so I did not know what to expect but the one-on-one tutoring really made this class enjoying. Yes! I said enjoying! The problems turned more into a puzzle for me instead of something that would just make me want to rip my hair out. I was taking summer chemistry (where the pace is three times as fast) and my books did not come in until the third week of class. The professor did not take any late work and I had heaps of material to catch up on...in a class that I was never able to understand. This is where I found Michael. I learned two months of college level chemistry in NINE days and got a high B on the midterm. He works with your schedule and I HIGHLY recommend Michael for chemistry tutoring. He made an impossible class enjoyable and even with all my zero's from the beginning of the semester before I teamed up with Michael, I ended up getting a high B in the class! If it wasn't for the no late work policy, I know I would have gotten an A! Coming from remedial high school chemistry to killing it in college level chemistry is a miracle and Michael got me there!
My daughter has been struggling with AP Chemistry for quite some time now and since the AP test is coming up, I decided to find a tutor for her. My co-worker told me about UniversityTutor.com, and wow have I been satisfied. Michael stood out from the rest of the chemistry tutors with his impressive resume and background, and when I messaged him, I immediately got a response from him within hours and scheduled a tutoring session for the upcoming weekend. I've never hired a tutor for my daughter before, but she says she loves it and finds it incredibly helpful. She says Michael doesn't simply help her with homework, but he'll go over the material backwards and forwards until she grasps it and create as much of an interactive experience for her as possible. If I didn't know any better, I'd take him for an actual chemistry teacher! We're going to have Michael continue tutoring for us until the AP test in May. I highly recommend him!
