Private tutor in Fresno, CA

Experience
I graduated from the University of California, San Diego with a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics. I am very passionate about the subject and excited to help others learn and appreciate it. I believe that if a student remains patient and maintains a dedicated work ethic, they can develop a full understanding of math. I very much enjoy being there with a student when the moment arrives when they realize the total meaning of a problem or topic and that is the moment that brings me the most reward as a tutor. I graduated with high distinction due in part to the completion of a successful thesis project, and it is now published on the UCSD math department's website. My goal is to continue the research I began as a PhD student. During my college years I tutored calculus, mostly in private settings. I am very patient and understand what it takes to learn a difficult subject. I always strive to provide a whole understanding of the basics of the material, and this approach helps students strategically work toward solutions while keeping frustration at bay. I also want to ensure students know why a solution works which leads to a more solid grasp of the material.
